Donovan Clemmons
Summer Research Fellow
Donovan Clemmons is a research assistant at GMAP. Donovan graduated from the University of Maryland in Spring of 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology and his research interests include counseling psychology and addiction science. Prior to GMAP, Donovan worked as a research assistant in the Interpersonal Relationships Lab at the University of Maryland. Additionally, Donovan worked as a teaching assistant for the Adult Psychopathology course at the University of Maryland for two consecutive semesters. Outside of school Donovan was also the Vice President of the University of Maryland Boxing Club for two years. After taking the next year off of school to gain some real world experience, he plans to attend graduate school and pursue a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology. Ultimately, Donovan’s goal is to work with and provide care to communities that have been negatively impacted by substance use and poverty.
